Building the Fox Den
What are your full names, and where are you both from originally?
Ken and Tyler Fox. Ken is from Northern California and Tyler is originally from Lancaster.

What’s the quick background on Fox Den Indoor Golf, and what inspired you to bring an indoor golf simulator experience to Lancaster?
The Fox Den originated as an idea in the garage nearly 8 years ago. After sitting on the idea for a while and both Ken and Tyler reaching a point of life where it made sense to pull the trigger on the business idea. As avid golfers ourselves we are just excited to provide more golfers in the area a way to enjoy golf year-round.
For someone who hasn’t been to Fox Den yet, how would you describe the experience in your own words?
The Fox Den’s mission is to provide an environment that provides encouragement and support to golfers of all levels as they use the technology as they please. The staff is focused on ensuring that the visitor is able to get the most out of their experience with as much support as they need/want.
What has been the most exciting part of building this business together as a family?
Outside of Tyler and Ken there are a few more “Fox’s” that have helped bring The Fox Den to life. Over the summer as we built out the simulators and brought the space to what it is now there were three generations of Fox’s present. While there certainly have been times of trouble when problem solving we will once look back at it and appreciate the time we have all spent together.
What has been one of the biggest challenges so far, and how did you work through it?
Having never opened or managed a business before there have certainly been mistakes made within the past year. A common problem we find ourselves falling into is making everything perfect, and in the pursuit of perfection we lose our ability to focus on any other issues that may arrive.
What sets Fox Den apart from other golf or entertainment experiences in the area?
The Fox Den is unique in the commitment to provide tools to address all aspects of the game of golf, from technology (industry standard Trackman) to coaching (Coach Frederick Taggert of Lancaster Golf Academy) to physical ability (Ken is TPI Certified). This even spans from full swing to putting with a new oversize putting green being installed this Winter.

What are you most proud of since opening Fox Den?
We are most proud of the community that we are creating, both with members and non-members. There is regular interaction between groups, new friendships being developed, and a sense of family that continues to grow within the facility.
When you hear the phrase “Next Generation,” what does it mean to you, and how do you hope to influence the generation coming behind you?
“Next Generation” is the group of future leaders in Lancaster that will be required to keep the area growing and continuously improving. Without the Next Generation learning from the current leaders there will be no guarantee that Lancaster continues in a positive direction.
What’s next for Fox Den in 2026 (new offerings, events, partnerships, goals, etc.)?
The most exciting thing to announce is bringing a mobile golf simulator to the market. Our inflatable enclosure can be rented out for events such as weddings, graduation parties, birthdays, neighborhood parties, and more… The goal being simple – bring the same indoor experience potentially to your backyard.

Ken and Tyler Fox’s story is about more than golf simulators and cutting-edge technology it’s about community, family, and investing in what’s next for Lancaster. From three generations helping build the space to fostering relationships among members inside the facility, Fox Den Indoor Golf is a clear example of how passion and purpose can shape a business. As they look ahead to 2026 with new offerings like a mobile golf simulator, one thing is clear: the Fox Den is committed to growing the game and empowering the next generation of leaders both on and off the course.
